Call of Duty Mobile bringing Rust map from Modern Warfare 2
It’s raining new content in mobile multiplayer games.
Previously, PUBG MOBILE announced that it will bring a new Cold Front
Survival mode to the game on April 16. Now, Call of Duty Mobile is doing
the same. No, there’s no new gameplay mode this time but for fans of
the franchise, there’s a mega surprise. The mobile team is bringing an
iconic map from the PC version soon in an upcoming update.
In
a recent tweet, the Call of Duty Mobile team has announced that
something new is coming to the game soon. The post says, “ If you know,
you know”, which is then followed by a teaser image. While there’s
nothing mega that can be extracted from the photo, the tower alone hints
towards a map that first made an appearance on the Modern Warfare 2
sequel. Hence, it seems that Call of Duty Mobile will bring the Rust map
 from the PC version.
The Rust was a small multiplayer
map introduced to Modern Warfare 2 and was later brought to the Call of
Duty Modern Warfare. The map usually has the setting of a deserted
oilfield with rusty surfaces, hence the name Rust. It remains to be seen
whether the developers change any aspect from the original map and
adapt it for the mobile version.
The update comes at a
time when these games are in massive demand. Most of the world is
observing a lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic and since people are
asked to stay indoors, playing games is one of the favourite ways to
kill time. Both PUBG MOBILE and Call of Duty Mobile are, therefore,
finding new ways to engage more players with new content updates.
